On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, the SDSU Women in Engineering Program and the College of Engineering Femineer® Program hosted the first WE Chat of the Fall semester, to more than 20 participants, featuring Dr. Tara Welborne.

Our SDSU Mechatronics placed 5th in Team Video and 4th Overall in the virtual 2020 International RoboSub Competition. The 23rd RoboSub Competition was held online, due to the in-person event being cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The SDSU College of Engineering is pleased to announce that Peggy (BSEE 1985) and Eric Johnson (MSEE 1986) have made a $3,100,000 gift to name and endow the fred harris Chair in Digital Signal Processing (DSP).

These fellowships supplement external funding to support 80 highly accomplished research scholars.

For Alex Mora his introduction to MESA came when he attended a workshop put on by the MESA program during his second year at San Diego State University.

Chris Oyuela's current research is focused on advancing microstructure tunability by designing micro-scale powders for use in novel Tri Hybrid Ultra-Light Composites for new orthopedic implants with superior wear resistance and a modulus that matches that of bone.

Dr. Camacho was interviewed by both NBC7 and Fox 5 News channels, regarding the fires breaking out around California and the power outages to help alleviate some of the fires' destruction.
