Melissa Owens, a senior Mechanical Engineering major, came to SDSU from Glendale, CA as an undeclared freshman.

Kaylista Halliday is a fourth year Mechanical Engineering student graduating in May of this year. She grew up in Portland, Oregon before moving to Southern California for high school.

John is a mechanical engineering senior graduating in May with minors in both computer science in entrepreneurship.

Jessica is a mother of three and a Marine Corps veteran who transferred to SDSU in Fall of 2020 to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering with an Emphasis in Bioengineering.

Dalaney Conte is a 4th year mechanical engineering student graduating in May 2023. She was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area with a passion for learning in hands-on environments.

This important project will investigate a broad range of engineering and natural materials and will engage students from underrepresented groups in hands-on, experiential research that prepares them to be leaders in mechanics, materials engineering and science, mechanical engineering, and physics.

Enrique is a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student graduating in May 2023. Enrique was born and raised in San Jose and gained a passion for engineering through his high school’s 4-year engineering program.

I conducted research in control and optimization of large scaled networked systems where I developed an algorithm to optimally land a fleet of autonomous drones in an urban air environment.

SDSU is in collaboration with SFSU, SJSU, Laney College and Cuyamaca College to establish and operate a new Western Region Center of Excellence to serve as a Center of Excellence for DOE’s Industrial Assessment Centers (IAC) Program.

I connected with Deputy Director David Pace from DIII-D at GA last year to learn more about pathways through the fusion industry with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Now, we're working together to get a presence from this national lab to SDSU!
