Jessica is a mother of three and a Marine Corps veteran who transferred to SDSU in Fall of 2020 to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering with an Emphasis in Bioengineering.

Dalaney Conte is a 4th year mechanical engineering student graduating in May 2023. She was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area with a passion for learning in hands-on environments.

This important project will investigate a broad range of engineering and natural materials and will engage students from underrepresented groups in hands-on, experiential research that prepares them to be leaders in mechanics, materials engineering and science, mechanical engineering, and physics.

Enrique is a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student graduating in May 2023. Enrique was born and raised in San Jose and gained a passion for engineering through his high school’s 4-year engineering program.

I conducted research in control and optimization of large scaled networked systems where I developed an algorithm to optimally land a fleet of autonomous drones in an urban air environment.

I connected with Deputy Director David Pace from DIII-D at GA last year to learn more about pathways through the fusion industry with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Now, we're working together to get a presence from this national lab to SDSU!

On behalf of the College of Engineering, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Richard Woodcock has made a $200,000 gift to the College of Engineering. This gift will support Rocket Project and Aztec Electric Racing.

Since 1980, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award has recognized manufacturing engineers, age 35 or younger, who have made exceptional contributions and accomplishments in the manufacturing industry.

Team HADES is representing San Diego State University at the NASA Robotic Mining Competition (RMC) Lunabotics 2022 by designing, building, and operating a lunar mining robot.
