Kaylista Halliday Graduation
Kaylista Halliday is a fourth year Mechanical Engineering student graduating in May of this year. She grew up in Portland, Oregon before moving to Southern California for high school. Kaylista’s favorite aspect of the SDSU Mechanical Engineering program is the Senior Design program. She and four other Mechanical Engineering students are currently working on a department sponsored project designing a water leak detector for residential irrigation systems. During the project, she has explored outside of her comfort zone by becoming the Electronics Lead. Her work designing the software and hardware necessary for the system has been a great learning experience for her. Outside of her classes, she has served for two years as an Officer of Tau Beta Pi. This organization gave Kaylista the opportunity to meet fellow engineering students of all disciplines as well as develop her engineering ethics and leadership skills.
