    The San Diego Union Tribune has posted an op-ed by Dr. Ping Lu, Department Chair, SDSU Aerospace Engineering Department, on SDSU Aerospace Engineering alumna and Jet Propulsion Laboratory System Engineer, Anachristina Morino, was with the NASA team that successfully landed the Perseverance rover on Mars.

    Amaury Reed Awarder Virgin Air Galactic Scholarship

    Amaury Reed, SDSU Aerospace Engineering senior, is one of six students who have been awarded a scholarship in the Galactic Unite Black Leaders in Aerospace Scholarship and Training (BLAST) program. BLAST is a scholarship, mentoring and fellowship program for college Sophomore through to Senior year Black scholars pursuing STEM education with a focus on aerospace in the U.S.

    DN Tanks Makes $52,000 Gift to Endow Scholarship

    The College of Engineering is pleased to announce that DN Tanks has made a $52,000 gift to endow the DN Tanks Endowed Scholarship for students in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering. Applicants must be sophomore, junior or senior level students and must be a member of SDSU’s National Society of Black Engineers or be involved with the SDSU Black Resource Center. Applicants must have a 2.5 or higher GPA and be enrolled full-time.

    The College of Engineering is pleased to announce that alumnus Paul Stuverud, ’71 BSEE and ’76 MSEE, has made an additional $50,000 gift to the endowed scholarship fund “Paul Stuverud MESA Endowed Scholarship” he created in 2019.

    Senior Design Project Team Selected as Semi-Finalist in NASA Moon to Mars Prospecting Challenge

    An interdisciplinary Senior Design Project Team consisting of ME students: Matthew Gonzalez, David Bunson, Krysta Rhodes, Jesus Figueroa; and ECE students: Jonathan Maravilla, Alan Clemenson, Brandon Mosburg, Ryan Marmion, and Humood Alghunaim as team members, is one of 12 teams from around the country selected to be semi-finalists in the NASA Moon to Mars Prospecting Challenge.
