Jackson is excited and honored to get into such an outstanding program and truly believes that he could not have done it without the support and opportunities provided by the Mechanical Engineering Department at SDSU.

Turnland chose to study mechanical engineering with an emphasis in bioengineering at San Diego State University (SDSU) to help develop new technologies to help others manage their chronic disease, which will further ease the cognitive burden the chronic disease may hold.

The Class of 2022 includes a diverse group of students from across departments on campus including mechanical engineering, psychology and criminal justice.

Juan Rojas has been involved with the Aztec Electric Racing club since his first year. In June, the club puts its project to the ultimate test.

The annual Engineering Design Day event takes place during the spring semester, in the first week of May. This is the largest College of Engineering event which showcases the exciting and innovative design projects that our undergraduate Engineering students create during the academic year.

A ten-person team of San Diego State engineering students was assigned a project centered around baseball, to be more exact, they had to work with baseball bats.

Theses and dissertations investigate questions from the genetics of PTSD to gravity on the moon.

A big part of Jackson's undergraduate experience at SDSU has been the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Dr. Sarkar is currently working on a NSF-funded project to increase the representation of students with disabilities in STEM careers; called The Alliance for Students with Disabilities for Inclusion, Networking, and Transition Opportunities in STEM (TAPDINTO-STEM).

Construction Engineering student Juliet Luevanos is one of only two recipients who received an AGC (Associated General Contractors of America) Build America Scholarship in the entire state of California.
