A unique student project by San Diego State University and Rice University is helping the U.S. Coast Guard find small and hard to detect unmanned autonomous surface vessels (UASVs) that can be used to transport drugs into the U.S.

Kevin Archangel '18 was part of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc, (SAAB) Student African American Brotherhood, NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) while at SDSU. He is now recognized in HP's External Sustainability Report for being actively engaged in the HP Racial Equality and Social Justice Task Force and the Black Employee Impact Network.
