Congratulations to environmental engineering student Polina Popova on her American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC California) scholarship award!

Environmental engineering faculty Christy Dykstra is working with other San Diego State University researchers on a DARPA-funded project to design bacteria that extract rare earth elements.

Jessica is a mother of three and a Marine Corps veteran who transferred to SDSU in Fall of 2020 to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering with an Emphasis in Bioengineering.

Dalaney Conte is a 4th year mechanical engineering student graduating in May 2023. She was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area with a passion for learning in hands-on environments.

This important project will investigate a broad range of engineering and natural materials and will engage students from underrepresented groups in hands-on, experiential research that prepares them to be leaders in mechanics, materials engineering and science, mechanical engineering, and physics.

Enrique is a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student graduating in May 2023. Enrique was born and raised in San Jose and gained a passion for engineering through his high school’s 4-year engineering program.
