Bio

Dr. Lee received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 1994, 1996, and 2001, respectively. From 2001 to 2024, he worked as a principal researcher at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute. He served as the director of Brain Links' Creative Research Section and published more than 100 articles and 60 inventions. He won the ETRI Outstanding Researcher Award in 2011 and the Prime Minister's Award in 2018. Since 2024, he has been the director of GBRAIN Co.'s US branch and an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at San Diego State University.

Interests

Dr. Lee's main research interests include MEMS microphones, sound field security sensors, sound source localization, piezoelectric devices, wireless power transfer, and implantable neural interface
devices for brain-computer interface applications.
